The Resolute Team
Resolute Integrative Health is a direct primary care clinic in Rogue River, Oregon serving both the local community and the greater Souther Oregon region including Grants Pass and Medford. As we grow, we will be recruiting for a second nurse practitioner.
Dr. Heather Friend, DNP, FNP-C, MSCP
CEO & Founder
Heather started in the medical field at age 17 after a rare cancer diagnosis at age 15 ignited an unrelenting hope to help others. In 2005, she became a registered nurse, spending many years as an ER nurse and forensic sexual assault nurse examiner locally.
Over time, Heather came to the realization that people need BETTER primary care for better life experiences – this starts with addressing root causes and promoting one’s own wellness journey.
Heather is a board certified nurse practitioner with a Doctorate and Masters degree from Frontier Nursing University. She began as an NP in early 2018, receiving mentorship by physician and NP colleagues, a nutritionist, a physical therapist, and worked as medical director. She transitioned into private practice 2022 to focus on integrative medicine – a way of offering both conventional and holistic options. She opened Resolute Integrative Health in 2024 after continued concerns about declining corporate healthcare ethics.
Heather treats the whole family. She has training through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, ongoing education for functional medicine, mens health, addiction recovery and mental health. She is a member of the Menopause Society and holds a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) certification.
To sum it up, Heather does not just focus on symptoms but on the whole person. Her provider-patient relationship is one that focuses on shared decision making, safety, education, and encouragement in your journey of life. She strives to empower you to be RESOLUTE in your wellbeing.
Heather lives in rural Rogue River on hobby farm with her law enforcement husband of 24 years and their children. The family has been actively involved in the community since moving to the area in 2015, volunteering in various ways.
Fun Fact: Heather is a beekeeper.
